About The Susie E II
Are you looking for a half-day inshore trip to load up on fluke, striped bass, bluefish or porgies? How about a full day-into-night excursion to the canyons in search of tuna and monster sharks? Captain Burt Prince has years of experience fishing these waters, and he and his crew have the trophies to prove it.
In September 2014, the Susie E II landed a 398lb Porbeagle shark-a NYS record and the third largest ever taken worldwide. Over the years, Captain Burt has taken first place in Montauk’s Mako Mania competition, the Star Island Shark Tournament, and the Montauk Boatman & Captain’s Association Shark Tournament.

The Susie E II is in total compliance with the provisions of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
Safety features include:
- Life raft (Hydrostatic Release) (Solas A Pack)
- 2 Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacons or EPIRBs (Hydrostatic & Manual) – tracking transmitters that aid in the detection and location of boats in distress.
- Survival Suits – special waterproof dry suits that protect wearers from hypothermia caused by immersion in cold water
- Water Maker – a device that extracts water from the air; vital for survival when boats sink or capsize and immediate rescue is unavailable
- Sea Anchor

With state-of-the-art electronics, the Susie E II is a 48′ Custom Sportfishermen. One of the largest private charter vessels in the Montauk fleet, we can take up to 16 people on our fishing charters, and as many as 28 can come aboard for private party sails.
